Mumbai : Nestle India Limited, a company that manufactures everyday household products, reported a 6.9 percent increase in its net profit in the April-June quarter to Rs 746.60 crore. In a notice given to the stock market, Nestle India said that the company’s profit in the April-June quarter last year was Rs 698.34 crore. In the quarter under review, Nestle India’s income from product sales increased by 3.75 percent to Rs 4,792.97 crore.
In the same quarter last year, it was Rs 4,619.50 crore. Total expenditure in the April-June quarter increased by 2.7 percent to Rs 3,844.01 crore. Nestle India’s domestic sales grew 4.24 per cent to Rs 4,608.50 crore in the April-June quarter as against Rs 4,420.77 crore in the same period last year. Its total income rose 3.64 per cent to Rs 4,853.07 crore.
