Several films currently running in theaters witnessed a noticeable boost in box office collections on Saturday, benefiting from increased weekend footfalls. Among them were Mardaani 3, Border 2, and the newly released psychological thriller Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion.
Despite the fresh release of Mardaani 3, the already running Border 2 continued to maintain a strong hold at the box office and even outperformed the new release on Saturday.

Released in theaters on January 30, Mardaani 3, starring Rani Mukerji, showed improvement on its second day. The film earned approximately ₹4 crore on its opening day.
With the advantage of the weekend, the crime thriller collected an estimated ₹6 crore on Saturday, taking its total two-day collection to ₹10 crore. According to media reports, the film is made on a budget of around ₹60 crore, making its current performance moderate in comparison to production costs.

The second-day collections of the Mardaani franchise films show a steady trend:

💥 Border 2 Continues Strong Box Office Run
Led by Sunny Deol, Border 2 benefited significantly from weekend momentum. On its ninth day, the film earned an estimated ₹17.75 crore.
The war drama opened with ₹30 crore on Day 1 and recorded its highest single-day collection of ₹59 crore on Day 4. So far, the film has amassed a total collection of ₹252.75 crore, showing no major impact from the release of Mardaani 3.
🎭 Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion Sees Growth
The psychological thriller Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion, which also hit theaters on January 30, registered a rise in earnings on its second day.
Day 1 collection: ₹12 lakh
Day 2 collection: ₹22 lakh
While the numbers remain modest, the upward trend indicates growing curiosity among niche audiences.
