New Delhi — : Indian passport holders now enjoy visa-free travel access to 59 countries around the world, as the Philippines becomes the latest nation to lift visa requirements for Indian tourists. This development marks a significant step in enhancing global mobility for Indian travelers, especially as international tourism gains momentum post-pandemic.
The Embassy of the Philippines in New Delhi officially confirmed the update, announcing that Indian citizens can now visit the Philippines for up to 14 days without a visa, provided certain conditions are met. This Southeast Asian destination has rapidly grown in popularity among Indian travelers for its stunning beaches, cultural heritage, and adventure offerings.
✈️ Who Is Eligible for Visa-Free Entry to the Philippines?
Indian citizens planning a short-term visit for tourism purposes can avail this new visa-free facility, provided they meet the following requirements:
A valid passport (minimum six-month validity beyond the stay)
Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
Proof of accommodation for the trip
Proof of sufficient funds (e.g., bank statement or employment letter)
Clean immigration record in the Philippines
Travelers who do not meet these criteria can still apply via the official e-visa portal for a 9(A) Temporary Visitor Visa, which allows a single-entry stay of up to 30 days.
