Indian airlines will be able to meet half of the country’s international air traffic needs by 2027-28. Credit rating agency Crisil said in a report, by this period the share of domestic airlines in international air traffic will increase to 50 percent.

In 2023-24 it was 43 percent. According to the report, the share of Indian aviation companies has increased at a rapid pace since the global pandemic. India’s international air traffic increased from one crore in 2020-21 to seven crore in 2023-24.
