Mumbai : The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has given instructions to make fares more affordable for air passengers on a flight basis. It also mentions the airfares set by the airlines and the charges for some of the services provided by them.
Under this instruction, DGCA has asked to remove charges for unnecessary facilities for passengers. DGCA said that by removing unnecessary facilities and their charges, the basic fare can be more affordable.
This gives passengers the option to pay for the services they want to avail. In its instructions, DGCA has mentioned a list of seven services. With this step of DGCA, air travel may become cheaper for people in the coming time.
