India to Increase Textile Exports to CIS Countries, Including Russia
India is actively pursuing opportunities to expand textile exports to Russia and other Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, a regional intergovernmental organization in Eurasia.
During her three-day official visit to Russia, Minister of State for Textiles and Foreign Affairs Pabitra Margherita highlighted India’s intention to deepen engagement with the Russian textile industry. The initiative aims to enhance trade relations, tap new markets, and promote India’s textile sector globally.
This move is part of India’s broader strategy to strengthen ties with Eurasian markets, increase exports, and support domestic textile manufacturers in accessing emerging markets in Russia and neighboring CIS nations.
