E-Auction of PM Modi’s Gifts Open Till October 2: Bid Now for Unique Memorabilia

The e-auction of gifts and souvenirs received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started  which will run till October 2. Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that this collection reflects the rich fabric of India’s culture, spirituality, history and politics.

A special feature of this auction is the souvenirs related to Paralympic Games and freedom fighters, which celebrate the glorious history of the country. This auction is being organized by the Union Ministry of Culture, which includes more than 600 items. Those interested in participating in the e-auction can register through the official website.

This is the sixth edition of the Prime Minister’s souvenir auction, which was first held in 2019. More than Rs 50 crore has been raised in five editions so far. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to the central government’s Namami Gange project, dedicated to the conservation and rejuvenation of the Ganga river.

The auction includes stunning pieces of traditional art, such as vibrant paintings, sculptures, indigenous handicrafts, and tribal artifacts. Traditional angavastras, shawls, headgear and ceremonial swords, which are considered symbols of respect and honour, are also on display.
