In a past interview, Farhan Akhtar revealed that Hrithik Roshan was his original choice for Don 2. The filmmaker shared that having previously collaborated on Lakshya, he had planned to narrate the script to Hrithik.
During the writing process, however, Farhan felt that the character suited Shah Rukh Khan better. He informed Hrithik about the change, to which the actor reportedly responded with grace, encouraging Farhan to make the best possible film. Farhan later described Hrithik’s reaction as exceptionally gracious and professional.
