” Dhurandhar 2 Creates History: Ranveer Singh’s film storms past ₹100 crore on Day 1, beating Jawaan, Pathaan, and Pushpa 2. Massive opening leaves competitors far behind.”
Dhurandhar 2 Box Office: Ranveer Singh’s latest release Dhurandhar 2 has delivered a historic opening, crossing ₹100 crore on its first day and setting new benchmarks at the box office.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film witnessed massive footfall across theaters, driven by strong pre-release buzz and high demand for paid previews.
Record-Breaking Opening Day Collection
The film had already earned approximately ₹50 crore through paid previews ahead of its official release. Building on that momentum, Dhurandhar 2 recorded a massive Day 1 collection, taking its total opening to over ₹100 crore.
This makes it one of the biggest opening-day performers in Indian cinema history.
Beats Previous Blockbusters
Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the opening-day collections of major blockbusters like Jawan, Pathaan, and Pushpa 2, marking a significant milestone for Bollywood.
The sequel has also outperformed its predecessor, Dhurandhar, which had collected ₹28 crore on its opening day, highlighting the franchise’s strong growth.
Biggest Film of Ranveer Singh’s Career
With this record-breaking start, Dhurandhar 2 has become the highest-opening film of Ranveer Singh’s career, further cementing his position as a leading box office draw.
Ustad Bhagat Singh Fails to Compete
Released alongside Dhurandhar 2, Pawan Kalyan’s Ustad Bhagat Singh could not match the momentum. The film collected around ₹31.50 crore on its opening day.
Trade analysts suggest that the strong pan-India release of Dhurandhar 2, including dubbed versions in South Indian languages, impacted its competitor’s performance.
Regional Performance Highlights
The film’s Tamil version earned approximately ₹1.16 crore from 958 shows, while the Telugu version collected around ₹2.12 crore from 1,112 shows on Day 1. Collections in Malayalam and Kannada markets remained comparatively lower.
