Satya Pal Jain, Ex-City MP and National Incharge of the Legal & Legislative Cell of the BJP has said that the Congress(I) led central government has betrayed the poor and down trodden section of the society, especially the footpath workers, rehri & phariwalas and the working classes. He said that the Congress came to got power in the name of ‘Aam Admi’ and during its 8 years of rule, it is the ‘Aam Admi’ who is the worst sufferer. Mr. Jain was addressing a big protest rally of Chandigarh Footpath and Cycle Rehri Workers Union in Sector 20, today. Among others, Sh. Ram Milan Gaur, Sh. Ramesh Chand, Sh. Ram Lal, Sh. Irfan Khan, Smt. Urmila Devi, Sh. Inderjeet and hundreds of footpath workers attended the rally. Mr. Jain said that the policies of the Congress (I) government are primarily responsible for the tremendous rise in prises of essential commodities in the country. He said that law and order situation has gone from bad to worst and nobody is safe today. He said that during the Congress (I) regime, the poor has become poorer & poorer and the rich; richer & richer. Mr. Jain assured the workers that when BJP will come to power, the party will ensure the issuance of identity cards to all the foot path workers and ensure work with self respect & dignity even to poorest of the poor in the country. He appealed to the workers to throw the present corrupt, incompetent and anti-poor government, out of power in the coming elections.
