Situated a mere 500 meters away from Ramghat in Chitrakoot, Parnakuti stands as a testament to the divine craftsmanship of Lord Shri Ram. This rustic dwelling, constructed with his own hands, served as a refuge for Lord Ram, Mother Sita, and devoted brother Lakshman during their time in exile. As Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita rested within its leafy confines, Lakshman Ji dutifully stood guard from a similarly crafted hut on the opposite side.

According to temple priest Krishna Das, Lord Shri Ram embarked on the arduous task of building this hut during Treta Yuga.
