Raipur – In view of the demand of Chhattisgarhi film makers, the state government has formed an advisory committee before announcing the chairman of the Film Development Corporation. In this, 9 people including the state convener of the BJP cultural cell, film actor and former chairman of Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation Rajesh Awasthi have been made members. Director of Culture Department and MD of Tourism Vivek Acharya has given a proposal to the central government regarding various schemes for Film City and Naya Raipur. This is also likely to get approval soon.
Let us tell you that in the third term of Dr. Raman Singh, Rajesh Awasthi was made the chairman of the Film Development Corporation in the last month. After that, there was no appointment to this post in the government of Bhupesh Baghel. Film makers were demanding re-appointment for a long time. Considering this, the Vishnu Dev government has formed an advisory committee of 9 members including Rajesh Awasthi to formulate a new policy.
This committee will submit its report to the government on the necessary facilities that should be there for the film industry. After this, the government will work to take forward the work of the Film Development Corporation by implementing the new suggestion in the film policy. Rajesh Awasthi has been active in Chhattisgarhi and Bollywood films for a long time. He has worked as an actor and line producer in many films and serials and web series.
The government has taken this decision considering the experience of other members. Let us tell you that a few days ago, Director of Culture Department and MD of Tourism Vivek Acharya had taken proposals related to various schemes for Film City and Naya Raipur when the Central Government sought proposals. It is also likely to get approval soon, due to which there is a possibility of shooting of large number of Bollywood films along with Chhattisgarh films in the coming time.
