Cbi Registers A Case Against A Chairman Of Private Engineering College And Others In An Alleged Cheating & Forgery With Aicte

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against Chairman of a private Engineering College/Institute based at Ajmer (Rajasthan) and Unknown Officials of AICTE U/s 120-B, 463, 468, 471 of IPC and 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act, 1988. It was alleged that the Chairman of said Institute in conspiracy with unknown officials of AICTE submitted forged & self created documents with intent to cheat AICTE, and used the same as genuine. On the basis of which he allegedly got the approval for establishment of a engineering college at Ajmer from AICTE.
Searches were conducted yesterday at Office premises of said College/Institute & residence premises of Chairman at Ajmer and Bijnour (UP). Several incriminating documents pertaining to the allegations of the case have been recovered and the same are under scrutiny. Further investigation is in progress.
