Surat :  After the incident of stone pelting on Ganesh pandal by some non-Hindu people in Syedpura area of ​​the city last Sunday night, Surat Mahanagar Palika (SMC) today started bulldozer action on illegal constructions. SMC administration demolished illegal constructions in Syedpura and nearby areas of the city with heavy police security. SMC’s action created panic among those who did illegal constructions.

According to the information, today Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi held an important meeting with the city’s Mayor, Police Commissioner, Corporation officials and other top officials in Surat Police Commissioner’s office regarding the stone pelting on Ganesh pandal in Syedpura area of ​​Surat. After the meeting, Harsh Sanghvi said that strict action is being taken against the accused and the police has arrested the accused by going door to door.

The police has arrested the anti-social elements by taking prompt action. He said that those who try to spread unrest cannot be tolerated. Harsh Sanghvi appealed to social organizations on this occasion and said that they have to work day and night to make Gujarat the biggest growth engine of the country. I appeal to the leaders of the minority community to show the right path to such youth. He said that care has also been taken that no innocent person should go to jail.
