Border Security Force is donating one day salary of entire force personnel to the Uttarakhand Relief Fund for the flood victims.As a first step, Sh Subhash Joshi, DG BSF will shortly hand over Rs 10 Crores to Sh Vijay Bahuguna, Hon’ble CM of Uttarakhand, as an immediate relief measure for the residents of the flood affected areas of Uttarakhand. Border Security Force will also adopt five devastated villages in this natural calamity, wherein, BSF will spend Rs One Crore each for the villages and also put all out efforts in assisting during relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of these villages on a long term basis. As a special gesture, BSF will give an amount of Rs Five Lakh each to the brave Uttarakhand Police and ITBP personnel, who laid down their lives for the call of the duty.
BSF has also planned to take a unique initiative to organise special pre recruitment training at Doiwala Campus for the prospective candidates amongst the inhabitants of these affected areas, which in future will facilitate them in the selection and appointment in various CAPFs
