The Kerala Story 2 Box Office Day 4 Update

Mumbai, India — March 3, 2026

The Monday box office numbers are in, and the latest releases are showing mixed trends. While ‘The Kerala Story 2’ entered theaters amid controversy, its fourth-day performance suggests a noticeable slowdown. Meanwhile, ‘Assi’, ‘O Romeo’, and Hollywood horror sequel ‘Scream 7’ are also witnessing reduced momentum.

Here’s a detailed look at the latest box office collections.

The Kerala Story 2 Day 4 Collection

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned ₹2.65 crore on Monday.

On Sunday, it had collected ₹4.75 crore, indicating nearly a 50% drop in earnings within 24 hours — a key indicator in assessing a film’s “Monday test.”

After four days in theaters, the film’s total domestic collection stands at ₹12.80 crore. The sharp weekday decline suggests waning momentum after its opening weekend.

Assi Slows Down Further

The film ‘Assi’ continues to struggle at the box office. On its 11th day, the movie managed to earn just ₹21 lakh on Monday, compared to ₹50 lakh on Sunday.

Despite addressing a sensitive subject, the film has not been able to draw consistent audiences. Its total collection so far stands at ₹8.71 crore.

O Romeo Faces Monday Dip

Starring Shahid Kapoor, ‘O Romeo’ has completed 18 days in theaters. The film collected ₹65 lakh on Monday, down from ₹1.15 crore on Sunday.

Although it managed to cross the ₹50 crore mark earlier, growth has slowed considerably. Its total domestic collection now stands at ₹65.80 crore.

Scream 7 Struggles in India

The Hollywood horror franchise installment ‘Scream 7’ is also witnessing modest numbers in India. On its fourth day, the film earned just ₹16 lakh, following Sunday’s collection of ₹35 lakh.

The film’s total Indian box office collection currently stands at ₹1.41 crore, reflecting limited traction in the domestic market.

Monday Test: What the Numbers Indicate

In box office trends, Monday collections often signal whether a film can sustain audience interest beyond its opening weekend. A sharp drop, such as the one seen by ‘The Kerala Story 2,’ typically indicates front-loaded demand rather than steady weekday performance.

While weekend growth helped several titles, weekday stability remains a challenge for most current releases.
