The Indian box office witnessed an eventful Saturday as long-running releases continued to dominate ticket counters, while new films showed gradual improvement. War drama Border 2 has officially entered the ₹300 crore club, while Mardaani 3 benefitted from the weekend surge. Meanwhile, fresh releases Vadh 2 and Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain registered modest gains.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, here’s how the films performed on Saturday.

📈 ‘Vadh 2’ Sees Growth on Second Day

The murder-thriller Vadh 2, starring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, opened to a slow start on Friday with a collection of ₹50 lakh.

However, the film witnessed a noticeable jump on Saturday, earning ₹71 lakh, taking its two-day total to ₹1.21 crore. The film also features Kumud Mishra, Yogita Bihani, and Akshay Dogra in key roles.

🎭 ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ Struggles at the Box Office

The big-screen adaptation of the popular television show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain has failed to create a strong impact in theaters. After collecting ₹20 lakh on opening day, the film earned ₹35 lakh on Saturday, bringing its total collection to ₹55 lakh so far.

Despite strong TV popularity, audience turnout for the theatrical version remains limited.

🔥 ‘Mardaani 3’ Gains Momentum on Weekend

Rani Mukerji-led action thriller Mardaani 3 showed solid growth on its ninth day, earning ₹2.95 crore on Saturday. The film had collected ₹1.85 crore on Friday, indicating a strong weekend boost.

With this, the film’s total box office collection has reached ₹30.90 crore, benefiting from positive word-of-mouth and weekend footfall.

🏆 ‘Border 2’ Joins the ₹300 Crore Club

The biggest highlight of the weekend was Border 2 crossing the ₹300 crore milestone at the Indian box office. The film earned ₹4.25 crore on Saturday, up from ₹2.85 crore on Friday.

In just 16 days, the film has amassed a total of ₹301.50 crore, cementing its position as one of the biggest Hindi blockbusters of the year. The makers had earlier claimed the ₹300 crore achievement, which is now backed by trade estimates.
