Sushil Kumar Sinde, Hon`ble Home Minister laid the foundation stone of Reserve Battalion Headquarter of Border Security Force Camp at Village- Takli, Solapur (Maharashtra). Government of Maharashtra provided 79.79 Acres land for establishment of Border Security Force Camp.
Border Security Force Camp of Village- Takli, Solapur District is first Camp in Maharashtra. After establishment of Border Security Force Camp at Village- Takli, Solapur, personnel belongs to South Maharashtra serving in Border Security Force and retired personnel will get benefits i.e Residential accommodation, Medical, School, Canteen facilities etc.
Beside, No International Border in Maharashtra and no Border Security Force personnel deployed for operational duties in Maharashtra. Moreover, Central Govt. has approved for establishing a Reserve Battalion Headquarter of Border Security Force Camp at Village- Takli, Solapur (Maharashtra) for more beneficial to approx Ten Thousand personnel under service and retired personnel belonging to Maharashtra State.
Shri Subhash Joshi, Director General, Border Security Force also informed that development of this camp will be completed in current five years plan for which proposed an amount of Rs. Thirty Crore required to be spent. Construction of Administrative Block, Jawan Barrack, Officer & Subordinate Officer Mess, Hospital and Residential accommodation also proposed in this Camp. After establishment of Border Security Force Camp at Takli, Solapur, more chances for employment of young youths and also developed the Region.
