- Need to learn the more lessons from history : Justice Ansari
Chandigarh, Noted Punjabi author and state awardee in literature Ali Rajpura today unveiled his latest book ‘Sikha te musalman di etihasik sanjh’ at Chandigarh Press Club, Sector 27, Chandigarh. The book was unveiled by specially invited ‘Panj Piyaras’ from Darbar Sahib, Amritsar in the presence of Justice Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, Chairman, Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Singh Gill (IPS) and former SPGC’s secretary Sardar Kulwant Singh.
Prior to that Ali has written nearly two dozen books themed on Punjabi culture, language and history which is turning out to be a source for researchers and students. His earlier works includes ‘lok gathawa da badshah – Kuldeep Manak, Gaddar Itihas, Mere Ang Sang, Kalpdiya Rooha, Vadda Ghallughara – 1762 (duly approved by SGPC) are highly appreciated by readers. Book which unveiled today was based on author’s four years of research which represents the untold aspects of Sikhs and Muslims brotherly bonds in the history of Punjab. The book has beautifully depicted the bonding of all ten Sikh gurus with their Muslims counterpart in forms of companion, disciple and followers.
While addressing the conference, Ali said there had been an extensive elaboration on the Sikh history of the state which is taught even across the educational institution. But his research based on facts reveals those aspects of both communes which were unknown, hence, author try to reach out to readers and devotees too. Author mentions unknown Muslims characters which includes Mardana ji, Mai Daultaan (maternity nurse of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji), Saifuddin ji, Bibi Mumtaz, Aadat ji, Qazi Salardin, Nawab Sher Muhammad Khan, Gani Khan, Nabi Khan, Rai Kalan, Aarafdinn ji, Pir Buddhu Shah ji and others which continues to generate more and more interests in readers.
Author especially thanked Iqbal Singh Gill (IPS), Amardep Singh Rai (IPS), Avtar Singh Shergill, Hardeep Gill, Gulbahar Bhullar, Rana Rakhra and others for their valuable contribution who made him to accomplish this task.
Present on the occasion, Panj Piyaras appreciated the work of young author who dedicated his work to the 550th commemoration of Guru Nanak Devji’ birthday. They emphasized that author’s work will help in brining harmony within all the communities. Justice Iqbal Ahmad Ansari while commending the writing on Ali said there are a lot of learning from the history for present society. The book will help to keep away the darkness from the society and enlightened the readers and society at large.
