The Indian box office is witnessing an intense clash of genres and star power, with Dhurandhar 2 continuing its historic run while Bhooth Bangla steadily marches toward the coveted ₹100 crore milestone.

Bhooth Bangla Shows Strong Momentum

Despite stiff competition from a blockbuster, Bhooth Bangla has maintained a solid grip at the ticket counters. The horror-comedy, featuring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav, completed one week in theaters with consistent earnings.

On Day 7 (Thursday), the film collected ₹5.50 crore, followed by a slight jump to ₹5.75 crore on Day 8 (Friday). Its total domestic box office collection now stands at ₹90.15 crore. With the weekend ahead, trade analysts expect the film to comfortably cross the ₹100 crore mark.

Globally, Bhooth Bangla has already amassed ₹144.70 crore, signaling strong audience traction beyond India.

Dacoit Struggles to Stay Afloat

Meanwhile, Dacoit is nearing the end of its theatrical run. The action-romantic film saw a sharp decline in collections, earning just ₹50 lakh on Day 14 and ₹25 lakh on Day 15.

Its total net collection now stands at ₹34.37 crore, reflecting a significant drop in audience interest amid heavy competition.

Michael Opens on a Decent Note

The biographical drama Michael, based on the life of global music icon Michael Jackson, hit theaters on April 24.

The film recorded an opening day collection of ₹3.80 crore, along with ₹1.70 crore from paid previews. Its total stands at ₹5.50 crore so far. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and featuring Jaafar Jackson in the lead role, the film has generated curiosity among fans, though its long-term performance will depend on word-of-mouth.

Ginny Weds Sunny 2 Opens Slow
