Veteran actor Anil Kapoor returns with commanding intensity in the newly released trailer for his upcoming action-drama Subedaar, proving once again that age is no barrier to high-impact performances. At 69, Kapoor headlines the Prime Video film with a role that blends action, emotion, and grit.
The trailer, unveiled Monday, offers a powerful glimpse into a story rooted in justice and personal confrontation. The film is set to stream exclusively on Prime Video beginning March 5.
Action Meets Emotional Depth
Directed by Suresh Triveni, Subedaar positions Kapoor as a retired army officer who arrives in a city plagued by organized crime and unchecked violence. His character soon finds himself facing off against a powerful mining mafia led by a woman known as “Didi,” portrayed by Mona Singh.
The tension escalates after Didi’s brother publicly humiliates the retired officer, triggering a chain of intense confrontations. The trailer showcases gripping action sequences alongside emotionally charged moments, underlining the film’s layered narrative.
Radhika Madan plays a pivotal role, adding emotional weight to the storyline. The ensemble cast also includes Faisal Shaikh and Saurabh Shukla.
Kapoor also serves as co-producer on the project, reinforcing his creative involvement in the film’s development.
Expanding 2026 Lineup
Beyond Subedaar, Kapoor continues to maintain a strong presence in major productions. After appearing in War 2 last year, he is slated to feature in the upcoming films Alpha and King, both expected to release this year.
With Subedaar, Kapoor reinforces his versatility—transitioning seamlessly from leading-man charisma to emotionally grounded, action-driven roles.
