Amazon Drops Referral Fee on Over 1.2 Crore Low-Priced Products
In a major relief for Amazon India sellers, the e-commerce giant has announced the removal of referral fees on products priced below ₹300. This move, benefiting over 1.2 crore products, aims to support small businesses and enhance seller profitability.
Amazon’s Push to Boost Seller Growth
Amazon’s referral fee is a commission that sellers pay for each product sold on the platform. By eliminating this fee, Amazon is making selling more cost-effective and competitive, especially for small-scale businesses.

“By eliminating referral fees on millions of products and reducing shipping costs, we are making Amazon a more seller-friendly platform. This initiative will allow sellers to expand their offerings, make more competitive price listings, and boost sales on everyday low-priced items.”
