Kings XI Punjab encourages women empowerment

Taking a step towards ensuring safety of women of the society, Kings XI Punjab players Adam Gilchrist, Shaun Marsh, David Miller, Manpreet Gony, Mandeep Singh and Manan Vohra today visited Infosys campus with DIG Alokh Kumar, and Commandant CRD Arun Kampani to share basic methods for self defence with women employees. The franchise collaborated with Chandigarh Police for this event. This event was ideated and executed by The Ideaz Factory. In addition to that, Sher-E-Punjab foundation, an NGO dedicated towards bringing a socio-economic change in India, were also a partner in this event. The event was organized with intent to ascertain that right training is given to women in order to protect themselves. The players indulged in an interactive session with Infosys employees, followed by a friendly cricket match between the women employees’ team and KXIP players. Later in the day, insights about simple and best self defence techniques, ways to report to Police in shortest possible time, taking note of important elements while in dire situations, etc, were imparted to women.
