The Indian Air Force has released the official notification for Agniveer Vayu (Sports) Recruitment 2026 under the Agnipath Scheme.
The recruitment drive invites applications from unmarried Indian male candidates who have demonstrated achievements in sports. Eligible candidates who have completed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent education can apply online.
Candidates can submit their applications between March 23 and March 29, 2026, through the official website.
Application and Test Schedule
According to the notification, the recruitment tests will be conducted between April 8 and April 10, 2026 at the Air Force Station in New Delhi.
Selected candidates will be recruited as Agniveer Vayu (Sports) personnel and may receive a monthly salary of around ₹30,000, as per the provisions of the Agnipath scheme.
Educational Qualification Requirements
Science Stream
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

Passed Intermediate (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, and English from a recognized board.

Must have at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR

Completed a three-year engineering diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, or IT with minimum 50% marks, along with 50% marks in English (either in diploma or in Class 10/12).
OR

Completed a two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks and 50% marks in English.
Non-Science Stream
Candidates must have:

Passed Intermediate (10+2) in any stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
OR

Completed a two-year vocational course with minimum 50% marks and 50% marks in English.

Sports Achievement Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have achieved one of the following sports accomplishments:

Represented India in an international sports competition.
OR

Secured at least 5th position in a Junior National competition.
OR

Represented a state or union territory in a Senior National competition.
OR
-
Participated in All India Inter-University competitions or Khelo India National Games organized by the Sports Authority of India.
For team sports, candidates must have represented their state or union territory in national competitions or inter-university championships.
