Delhi-NCR Weather Update

Weather conditions shifted dramatically across Delhi-NCR on Wednesday as clouds covered the region and light drizzle was reported in several areas, including Gurugram, Faridabad, and surrounding NCR zones. The sudden change follows unusually warm conditions earlier this month.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, warning of thunderstorms, gusty winds, and scattered rainfall across the capital and nearby regions.

Wind Speeds Up to 40 km/h Expected

Meteorologists forecast that winds may reach 30–40 km/h, increasing the likelihood of brief rain spells and cloudy skies throughout the day. Early reports already indicate drizzle in multiple localities across the capital region.

Rain is also likely in Noida, according to official forecasts.

Reason Behind Weather Shift

Weather expert Mahesh Palawat said the change is due to an active western disturbance, a weather system that typically brings clouds, rain, and winds to North India during winter and early spring.
