Central and Eastern India
Parts of Madhya Pradesh and Bihar are experiencing cold wave conditions, with Bihar continuing under Cold Day status. Temperatures across these regions have fallen below seasonal averages.
In West Bengal, Kolkata recorded one of its coldest January days, with the minimum temperature dropping to around 10.2°C, intensifying winter chill across the city.
South and West India
Southern states including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh continue to experience warm and dry weather, with daytime temperatures ranging between 25°C and 32°C. Light rainfall is possible in isolated coastal areas.
In western India, Maharashtra and Gujarat are seeing mostly clear and dry conditions. Mumbai reported mild haze, though overall weather remains stable.
