Agra — : The devotees from Uttar Pradesh heading for the sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025 will now receive ₹1 lakh from the state government. Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh confirmed the move during his visit to Agra, calling it a step to support pilgrims spiritually and financially.
The Uttar Pradesh government has announced financial help for pilgrims going on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Every devotee from the state who completes the journey will get ₹1 lakh directly into their bank account. This initiative is meant to encourage more people to take part in this holy trip and reduce the financial burden.
Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh shared this announcement while reviewing tourism and development projects at Circuit House in Agra. He mentioned that the first group of 50 pilgrims has already left for the yatra.
He also gave updates on other projects. Work on the Shivaji Memorial and Museum will be completed soon, he said. Singh further added that Agra will soon be connected with Jewar Airport to boost tourism and air connectivity. The government plans to increase civil aviation services in the region.
Minister Singh highlighted the state’s commitment to Agra’s development and said that many infrastructure and tourism projects are in full swing.
Uttar Pradesh’s ₹1 lakh assistance for Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims is expected to benefit hundreds of spiritual travelers this year. With better connectivity, development in Agra, and active support from the government, the pilgrimage is set to become more accessible and affordable for all.
