Kedarnath – The doors of Kedarnath Dham are closing for the winter on Bhaiya Dooj i.e. 3 November. The Panchmukhi festival idol of Baba Kedarnath reached the temple premises on Saturday morning. On this occasion, Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Ajendra Ajay participated in the worship of the Panchmukhi festival idol. Earlier on Friday, CM Pushkar Dhami performed puja at Shri Kedarnath Dham and also took feedback about the arrangements by talking to devotees, local shopkeepers and respected priests from all over the country. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will be closed for the winter at 08.30 am on the auspicious occasion of Bhaiya Dooj on 03 November. After the closure of the doors, the Panchmukhi festival idol of Baba Kedarnath will reach the winter seat Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath after staying at various stops.
In this sequence, the Panchmukhi idol of Lord Kedarnath was brought out of the storehouse on Saturday. The Panchmukhi Utsav idol was bathed by priest Shivshankar Ling. Dharmadhikari Omkar Shukla Vedpathi Swayamvar Semwal performed the puja and worship and devotees took darshan of the Panchmukhi Utsav idol. After circumambulating the temple, the Panchmukhi Utsav idol palanquin of Lord Kedarnath was placed in the temple premises.
