Jaipur Railway Clerk Sentenced to 4 Years in CBI Bribery Case

New Delhi : The Special Judge for CBI Cases, Jaipur, sentenced Jatan Singh Meena, the former Senior Parcel Clerk at Jaipur Railway Station (North Western Railway), to four years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹30,000 in a bribery case.

The CBI registered this case on April 16, 2015, following a complaint that Meena demanded a monthly bribe of ₹20,000 from a contractor to facilitate smooth loading and unloading of parcels at the station. A trap was set by the CBI, and Meena was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe. After the investigation was completed, a charge sheet was filed on July 1, 2015, and after the trial, the court found him guilty and sentenced him accordingly.
