New Delhi : Four soldiers including an army captain were martyred in an encounter in Doda of Jammu division on Monday night. There is anger and grief among the people of the country including Jammu and Kashmir due to this martyrdom. Political leaders have also shared their reactions to the attack.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that he is committed to end the curse of terrorism and restore peace and order in the region. At the same time, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha said that we will definitely take revenge for the terrorist attack on the army and police by the terrorists. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi has targeted the BJP while expressing condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, ‘I am deeply saddened by the martyrdom of our brave and courageous Indian Army soldiers in the anti-terrorism operation in Doda (Jammu and Kashmir). My condolences are with the bereaved families. The nation stands firmly with the families of our soldiers who sacrificed their lives while performing their duty.
Counter-terrorism operations are ongoing and our soldiers are committed to eradicate the scourge of terrorism and restore peace and order in the region.’ Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and all ranks of the Indian Army paid tributes to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Doda. In its message, the Army said, ‘We express our deepest condolences to Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra and Sepoy Ajay who made the supreme sacrifice while conducting counter-terrorism operations in Doda to ensure peace in the region. Indian Army stands with the bereaved families in this hour of grief.
