New Delhi :The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear the bail plea of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia. Let us tell you, the apex court has agreed to hear Sisodia’s petitions for bail in the corruption and money laundering cases related to the Delhi Excise Policy scam.
A bench headed by Justice BR Gavai sought a response from the CBI and ED on Sisodia’s petitions. At the same time, the date of July 29 was fixed for hearing the case. A bench of Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice KV Vishwanathan was hearing Sisodia’s petitions in which he had requested bail along with an application to resume his petitions in corruption and money laundering cases related to the excise policy.
Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on 26 February 2023 for his alleged role in the liquor policy case. The ED arrested him on March 9, 2023 in a money laundering case based on a CBI FIR. He resigned from the Delhi Cabinet on February 28 last year.
