Confirmed Ticket for Women: Now women will get confirmed ticket in Indian Railways
If you also often travel by train, then from now on you will not have to worry about women’s seats inside the train. Keeping in mind the convenience of women, a big announcement has been made by the Railway Minister. According to this announcement, the way seats are reserved for women in bus and metro, similarly now seats will be reserved for women in trains as well.
Reserved berths for female passengers
Berths have been reserved for women passengers in long distance trains by the Indian Railways. Apart from this, a special plan is also being made for the safety of women. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that for the comfortable travel of women in long distance trains, Indian Railways has started many facilities including earmarking reserved berths.
6 berths will be reserved
The Railway Minister said that six berths will be reserved in sleeper class in long distance mail and express trains. Six berths will also be reserved for women passengers in third AC coaches of air-conditioned trains including Garib Rath, Rajdhani, Duronto. There will be six to seven lower berths in each sleeper coach, four to five lower berths in air-conditioned 3 tier (3AC).
Three to four lower berths in air-conditioned 2 tier (2 AC) coaches have been reserved for senior citizens, female passengers of 45 years and above and pregnant women. PLC/GT
