50 Years Of Emergency: Emergency was imposed in the country on 25 June 1975, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, BJP will organize Samvidhan Hatya Diwas across the country on Wednesday. BJP will remind people of the dark period of Emergency through the organization of various programs. MISA prisoners will be honored in the programs to be held at the district level. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah termed the Emergency as injustice period.

BJP National President JP Nadda said that on the midnight of 25 June 1975, the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had killed the Constitution of the country by imposing Emergency on India on the pretext of internal unrest. Even after 50 years, Congress is going on with the same mentality, its intention is still the same dictatorial.

On the 50th anniversary of the Emergency, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra said, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to celebrate June 25 as ‘Samvidhan Hatya Diwas’. This is the day when democracy nurtured by the people was murdered. The Congress Party murdered the Constitution. Today the country, especially the youth, should understand that the Congress leaders who are praising the importance of democracy today, had murdered democracy and violated the Constitution.
