Bollywood and Assamese music industry has lost a shining star with the passing of singer Zubeen Garg. His death has left the entire state in mourning, with tributes pouring in from across the country. The legendary singer will be cremated with full state honors on Tuesday.
After the completion of the second post-mortem at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Zubeen Garg’s mortal remains are being taken to the Arjun Bhogeshwar Barua Sports Complex for the final rites.
Funeral Preparations Underway in Kamarkuchi
The last journey of Zubeen Garg will take place in his native village, Kamarkuchi, North Guwahati. Ahead of the funeral, large crowds have gathered in the village to catch a final glimpse of the beloved singer.
On social media, several videos have surfaced showing preparations at the cremation ground. Wooden pyres have been arranged, and the area is decorated with flowers as the people of Assam prepare to bid farewell to one of their most celebrated voices.
