The UP Governor Ram Naik has issued directions to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to take adequate action into the complaint presented by social activist Dr Nutan Thakur and others about compete apathy and inaction of the state government in the aftermath of Income Tax raids on Yadav Singh and his accomplishes.
In their letter, the activists had said that despite serious allegations emerging against Yadav Singh, including his direct patronage by subsequent governments and senior IAS officers, the State government is completely silent.
The letter requested that the State government shall immediately contact the IT department to procure all the relevant documents and initiate its own enquiry, including the works undertaken in Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Express way during Yadav Singh’s tenure. It also sought enquiry about how the CB-CID enquiry got closed and who was responsible for getting Yadav Singh appointed to lucrative posts.
Now the Governor has directed the CM to take adequate action is this matter.
In a PIL previously filed in this matter by Dr Thakur, the Allahabad High Court has sought response from the State government, fixing 20 January as the next date.
