Jerusalem – Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sacked Defense Minister Yoav Galant. Netanyahu said that there was a lack of trust between them, which is not good in times of war. According to the Times of Israel, Foreign Minister Israel Katz will take over as Defense Minister. At the same time, Gideon Saar will now be Israel’s Foreign Minister. A letter was handed over to Galant by Netanyahu’s office at 8 pm on Tuesday. In this, Netanyahu wrote that his tenure will end 48 hours after receiving the letter. I thank you for your service as Defense Minister.
Netanyahu informed about the removal of Yoav Galant from the post through a video message. Netanyahu said that there was trust between us at the beginning of the war, we worked together a lot, but for the last few months this trust was ending between us. We did not agree with each other on many aspects of the war. Gallant has on several occasions made decisions and made statements which were not approved by the cabinet.
