At present, one of the major factors affecting environmental balance adversely across the globe is deforestation or cutting down of trees. In India also, the situation regarding deforestation is dismal; the overall forest cover now stands below the recommended level, as only around 21% of our country’s total area remains covered by forests. Estimates suggest that huge areas of our forest lands are falling prey to urban development activities, as well as to meet the requirements of log and wood based industries.
To envisage the notion of eco-friendly housing solutions for the urban masses, and commemorating the occasion of World Environment Day this year, Weatherseal, a leading UPVC Doors and Windows company in South India, has organized an event- “UPVC doors and windows: making way for eco-friendly homes in India”.
Mr. Harish Munireddy, Founder and CEO, Weatherseal said, “At Weatherseal, we strongly believe that sustainability and development can go hand in hand, and hence we focus on eco-friendly approach to cater to the needs of our customers. We are proud to announce that Weatherseal saved approximately 20,000 trees till now with the manufacture of doors and windows through UPVC material, which acts as a substitute for wood.”
UPVC is a new-age, environment-friendly solution in the housing and construction sector that does not require use of hazardous substances; rather it is energy efficient, has good insulation properties, and also resilient towards the harsh Indian climate.
“Paving the way for sustainable construction techniques and green infrastructure, UPVC windows and doors are now considered to be the most eco-friendly and cost effective products in the fenestration industry. As a market leader in South India in the manufacturing of UPVC windows and doors, Weatherseal is working tirelessly to bring a positive change in our country’s urban spaces,” added Mr. Harish Munireddy.
Headquartered in Bangalore, Weatherseal has spread its footprints over almost all the districts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and other parts of South India, only within 3 years of its inception. In the near future, the company aims to spread its wings all over India, by opening experience centers through the franchise model in all the important districts and metro cities of India.
