Vaishno Devi Yatra Resumes from 14 September 2025 After Rain & Repairs, Says Shrine Board

The sacred Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra will resume from 14 September 2025 (Sunday) after being suspended due to heavy rains and essential track repair work. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has confirmed that devotees may once again begin their pilgrimage, provided the weather conditions remain favorable.

The Yatra had been temporarily halted for the safety of pilgrims after continuous rainfall caused disruptions and damage to the track. Shrine Board officials announced that repair work on the route is now nearly complete, making it possible to restart the pilgrimage from the scheduled date.

Authorities highlighted that the resumption of the Vaishno Devi Yatra depends on stable weather in Jammu and Kashmir. Devotees are advised to stay updated on real-time conditions through the Shrine Board’s official website and helpline numbers before planning their journey.

The Shrine Board also urged pilgrims to prioritize safety and follow the guidelines, especially during the monsoon season, to avoid inconvenience during darshan. With the track repairs nearing completion, hopes are high that thousands of devotees will once again be able to visit the holy shrine from 14 September 2025.
