The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that we have prepared an alternative plan to evacuate our citizens from Lebanon by sea or air. According to the Foreign Ministry, the security situation in Lebanon is likely to worsen.
According to the report, the ministry’s call center is accepting applications from citizens who want to join the possible evacuation. The ministry said that guidelines have been set regarding the evacuation of citizens from other countries through Turkey. So far, preparations are underway for about 20 countries seeking support.
The Israeli army had warned of an attack and urged Lebanese citizens to evacuate about 30 villages and towns. Earlier it claimed that it had started a ground operation in southern Lebanon at night.
Let us tell you that Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati had said that his country is ready to implement UN Resolution 1701 to reduce tensions with Israel on its southern border. The announcement was made in response to international appeals for a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
