Washington, DC — : Tensions between the US and Iran are boiling again as President Donald Trump issued a stark warning on Sunday. Trump stated that if Iran dares to attack American assets, the entire United States Armed Forces will respond with full force.
The warning comes just hours after Israel launched a massive coordinated strike on Iranian targets, including a major defense ministry building in Tehran and a natural gas facility in Bushehr province. The strikes reportedly killed 20 senior Iranian commanders, including the heads of the army and air force. Israel used over 200 fighter jets to hit six strategic sites tied to Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure.
Speaking to reporters, Trump made it clear: “If Iran makes even a single move against us, they will face consequences they’ve never imagined before.” He emphasized that while America played no role in the Israeli strikes, he would not hesitate to protect US interests.
Trump also expressed confidence in his ability to broker peace between Iran and Israel, saying he could end the escalating conflict quickly if given the chance. His comments followed Iran’s decision to cancel the sixth round of nuclear talks with the US, originally scheduled for this week.
Meanwhile, Iranian retaliation was swift. The regime launched over 100 drones toward Israeli territory, though Israel’s military claimed to have intercepted all incoming threats using its advanced defense systems.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later confirmed that the operation, known as “Operation Rising Lion”, had been approved six months ago in November 2024. The full-scale offensive was initially set for April 2025 but was delayed due to strategic considerations.
