Trump Addresses Epstein Case in Christmas Message

Washington, December 26, 2025

US President Donald Trump has once again addressed the long-running Jeffrey Epstein controversy, sharing an extended post on social media on Christmas Day in which he claimed he severed ties with the disgraced sex trafficker long before others distanced themselves.

In the post, Trump accused his political opponents and sections of the media of using the Epstein case as a tool to damage his reputation. He alleged that the controversy is being deliberately revived to malign him ahead of ongoing political battles.

Trump Says Epstein Case Is Being ‘Weaponized’

In a strongly worded message, Trump wrote, “Merry Christmas to everyone, including the many disgusting people who loved Jeffrey Epstein.” He went on to claim that the Epstein scandal is being “weaponized” against him as part of what he described as a radical left-wing conspiracy.

Trump further asserted that most of the prominent names linked to Epstein belong to Democratic leaders, adding that many individuals publicly cut ties with Epstein only after investigations intensified. Trump claimed he was the only one who distanced himself from Epstein much earlier, before it became a public trend.

Allegations Against Media Organizations

Trump also criticized several media outlets, accusing them of misrepresenting facts in their coverage of the Epstein case. Drawing a comparison with the Russia investigation, Trump said some newspapers were previously forced to issue apologies for what he described as false reporting and argued that the same motive now drives Epstein-related coverage.

According to Trump, the narrative around the Epstein scandal is aimed at tarnishing innocent individuals, many of whom, he claimed, had only attended social gatherings hosted by Epstein without any involvement in criminal activities.

Epstein Files Fuel Renewed Debate

The controversy has intensified following the recent release of multiple Epstein-related files by the US Department of Justice, which include photographs and names of several high-profile figures. The disclosures have reignited public scrutiny and political debate across the United States.

While Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, the Epstein case remains a highly sensitive and politically charged issue, continuing to draw attention from lawmakers, media outlets, and the public.
