The IPL 2025 is set to commence, and there is a lot of hype around the players who will be competing in this league, which will be filled with some of the best players in international cricket. There will be some big international stars who will be featured in this most awaited tournament.
The IPL has been known to be a tournament dominated by the batters most of the time. This is the reason why the highest run-getter of each season goes on to be celebrated throughout the tournament. The player who ends up making the most runs gets the IPL orange cap, and the fans have witnessed many of the players with this accolade go on to win the title as well. However, some players have not managed to be lucky enough to win the silverware.
These players might have been the most dominant in the seasons but have not gone on to win the title at all. Some of the names that will be discussed are the biggest legends in the game as well who might have been champion players but still do not have an IPL title to their name at all.
Here are the top three players who have won the Orange cap but have not got their hands on an IPL title.
3. KL Rahul
KL Rahul might have finally got his hands on an ICC trophy just recently but is still searching for his first IPL title since his debut in 2013. KL Rahul won the Orange Cap in 2020 while playing for the Punjab franchise, but it was not enough to carry his team through to the playoffs. He has made it to the playoffs with the Lucknow SuperGiants as well but has still been unsuccessful.

Chris Gayle is a certified universe boss who has won everything from franchise cricket to international cricket but has not got his hands on an IPL title at all. Gayle is the first player to win the Orange Cap twice in a row, in 2011 and 201,2, playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) but he did not go on to win the tournament

Speaking of RCB legends, Virat Kohli also makes the list of those who have won the cap twice, in 2016 and 202,4, but has failed to win the title for his franchise. Virat has scored the most runs in IPL and has made it to three IPL finals but has not emerged victorious at all.
