A teaser for Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise’s ambitious, untitled space film has leaked online, offering the first glimpse of what could become a landmark moment in cinema history.
The 30-second clip, which surfaced on social media on Friday, shows Cruise in full astronaut gear floating outside a spacecraft, appearing to perform a real spacewalk. The film, being developed in collaboration with SpaceX and NASA, is partially shot aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
Director Doug Liman later confirmed that portions of the movie were indeed filmed in outer space, marking the first time a major feature film has been shot beyond Earth. Cruise, known for performing his own high-risk stunts, is believed to have undergone extensive astronaut training for the project.
The leaked teaser has generated widespread excitement among fans and industry insiders, with many calling it one of the most ambitious productions ever attempted. While the film’s title and plot details remain undisclosed, sources involved in the project have previously described it as a grounded, action-driven story set in space.
The movie is expected to release in late 2026, pending post-production and scheduling timelines. Neither the studio nor Cruise’s representatives have commented on the teaser leak itself.
If completed as planned, the project will become the first narrative feature film in history to include scenes shot aboard the ISS, redefining the boundaries of filmmaking.
