Ottawa : The case of murder of Khalistan supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar has arisen again in Canada. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s statement on Nijjar’s murder has come to light. In fact, an investigation is going on into foreign interference in the electoral process in Canada. PM Trudeau has testified in this case. Trudeau said that the government has always stood firmly on the issue of security of Canadians and proved this by raising the issue of the killing of Khalistan supporter Nijjar.
During the hearing of the Foreign Interference Commission headed by Quebec Judge Marie-Josée Hogue, Trudeau accused the country’s previous Conservative government of being soft on the current Indian government.
An investigation into allegations of foreign interference in Canadian politics began after several media reports cited leaked documents. The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) document says China conducted covert and deceptive interference in the last two federal elections.
