Chennai : ‘The Greatest of All Time’ is all set to premiere on 5 September 2024, and the buzz around thalapathy vijay ‘s film is palpable. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, this film marks Vijay’s last major project before he fully transitions into politics, which has only heightened the anticipation among fans.
Early signs indicate that the film is poised for a spectacular opening. Vijay’s previous film, Leo, achieved a gross collection of ₹76 crore on its first day, setting a high benchmark. Fans and industry watchers are keen to see if ‘The G.O.A.T’ can surpass this figure.
Advance booking numbers are already impressive. On the first day alone, tickets worth ₹12.81 crore have been sold. Tamil Nadu has been a stronghold, with over 5.97 lakh tickets for the Tamil 2D version being booked. The film’s release in IMAX has also contributed to its robust pre-sales figures. Including block seat reservations, the total advance booking earnings have reached ₹16.14 crore.
In the international market, particularly in America, ‘The G.O.A.T’ has earned more than ₹5.50 crore in advance bookings, surpassing the performance of Vijay’s previous film Beast.
The film features a star-studded cast including Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashant, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Ajmal, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, and Vaibhav. Notable cameos will be made by Sivakarthikeyan and Trisha. The music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, adding another layer of excitement to the film’s release.
