- Haryana Chief Minister gifts development bonanza of Rs.14.5 crores to Karnal residents
- Inaugurates community centre, park, newly built over bridge at railway station
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, on his arrival in Karnal on Saturday, gifted development works worth about Rs.14.5 crore to the city residents.
While inaugurating various development works, the Chief Minister said that a survey of about 50 unauthorized colonies in the city would be done soon.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that 35 colonies of the city were authorized about 3 years ago, development works are being done there. He said that 1200 colonies in the state would be authorized based on the survey.
The Chief Minister said that the sale of plots in unauthorized colonies has been stopped and he has urged the public not to buy plots in such colonies. The central and state governments are committed to help the poor and needy.
MP Karnal, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, BJP State General Secretary Advocate, Sh. Vedpal also remained present in the programme.
Addressing the people present in the programme, the Chief Minister said that today September 25, is being celebrated as the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya devoted his entire life to social service and the strengthening of the party. His birth anniversary is celebrated every year as Seva, Sankalp and Samarpan said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister dedicated various development projects for the people of Karnal.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the Over Bridge constructed for two-wheelers and pedestrians at the railway station of the city. Now passengers will also be able to move freely from one platform to another through the bridge.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the ticket distribution booth built for the convenience of the public on the occasion.
The over bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 13.02 crore and has been constructed by the Municipal Corporation, Karnal.
