Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged the community to cooperate in better conduct of anganwadis. Social organisations should adopt anganwadis. The Chief Minister was launching Anganwadi Chalo Abhiyan at Bhim Nagar here today. Women and Child Department has introduced this drive on Madhya Pradesh’s Foundation Day November 1.
The Chief Minister said that every child must be healthy and educated for progress of society. Nutritious food is provided to children through anganwadis. It is responsibility of us all to ensure that anganwadis are run properly. Sanitation is necessary for maintaining health. All should ensure cleanliness in and around their houses. He announced construction of 4 public toilets each in Vallabh Nagar and Bhim Nagar costing Rs. one crore 60 lakh.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inspected the anganwadi and distributed chocolates to children. He released a magazine focusing on Anganwadi Chalo Abhiyan. Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Shri J.N. Kansotiya, Commissioner Women and Child Development Smt. Kalpana Shrivastava, local public representatives and people were present on the occasion.
