Chandigarh,
Satya Pal Jain, Ex-City MP and National Chairman of the Committee on Legal and Election Commission Issues of the BJP, met Sh. Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujrat and the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, in Gandhinagar yesterday and sought guidance from him about the working of the National Committee on Legal & Election Commission issues.
In the meeting held in the Chief Minister’s Office in Gandhinagar yesterday, Sh. Jain was accompanied by his family also.
Sh. Jain informed Sh. Modi about the victory of Smt. Heera Negi and Sh. Davesh Moudgil as Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor, respectively, of the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh in the election held on 1-1-2014. Sh. Modi expressed his happiness over this victory. Sh. Jain told Sh. Modi that this victory was possible only because of the pro-Modi wave in Chandigarh as well as in the entire country. Sh. Jain expressed gratitude for this to Sh. Modi on behalf of the residents of Chandigarh.
Sh. Jain reminded Sh. Modi that, as a matter of fact, the first elections to the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh were held in 1996, when Sh. Modi was the ‘Prabhari’ of BJP Chandigarh and Sh. Jain was the local MP, in which BJP-SAD alliance won 15 out of 20 seats under Sh. Modi ji’s guidance.
Sh. Jain discussed the political scenario of the entire North India, including Chandigarh, and brought the latest political situation to his notice. Sh. Jain assured Sh. Modi that this time, under Sh. Modi ji’s leadership, the BJP will certainly wrest the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat from the Congress and the BJP candidate will win with an impressive margin.
