The Minister of State for Textiles (Independent Charge), Parliamentary Affairs, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar today launched the central Management Information System (MIS) for Integrated Skills Development Scheme (ISDS), a flagship scheme of Ministry of Textiles. ISDS envisages training of fifteen lakh persons in textile and allied sectors over the period of the 12th Year Plan.

ISDS envisages training of fifteen lakh persons in textile and allied sectors over the period of the 12th Year Plan.
The Scheme provide for an MIS system to ensure transparency and Skills Exchange, which is developed with a view to monitor the progress of the Scheme. The MIS is equipped with generation of “Customised report” for various relevant indicators of the scheme at any given point of time. This will enable the users to generate dynamic reports as per the requirement.
The Minister also released the documentation on the good practices adopted at Shantipur Textiles Cluster in West Bengal in report titled “Shantipur Handlooms: Transformation Through Cluster Development”
