Moscow — : Russia is making headlines by extending a surprising offer to billionaire Elon Musk. After a major fallout between Musk and US President Donald Trump, Russia has stepped in, saying it’s ready to give Musk political asylum if he wants it.
This big statement came from Dmitry Novikov, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s State Duma Committee on International Affairs. He was asked whether Musk could be given asylum like American whistleblower Edward Snowden, who has been staying in Russia for years. Novikov replied, “Musk is a special person. He doesn’t need asylum right now, but if he ever does, Russia is ready to help.”
